Mio!

So as any "dieter" knows, water is an ESSENTIAL part to losing weight. Not drinking sugary juice, sugary sodas, and even those sports drinks laden with calories will do the trick. So what's a girl with a real aversion to water supposed to do? Find something to put in said water to give it some flavor, something unbland, something with a kick! I have found the perfect fix. It's called Mio and it's amazing! I am downing water by the gallons (not literally) and actually feel better than I do when I fill me belly with (diet) soda! So pick some up today, it will change your world!!

Egg salad

So dinner tonight is a little different. Instead of your traditional egg salad with the bread and huge amount of mayo, I've done something a little more enjoyable. I've boiled the eggs, added tomatoes, raisins, a little cheese, miracle whip, and pepper. Instead of eating this concoction off two slices of bread, I've made a lettuce wrap! And coming in under 400 calories, I'm sure I'll be adding this in the regular rotation!

Until tomorrow...

Day One!

Well today is going well, but then again it is ONLY 9:00pm (my time). I have downloaded this awesome app on my phone called MyFitnessPal. It tracks what you eat, how many calories, and gives you a limit based on how much you want to lose in the amount of time you want to lose it. Based on my current weight and how I would like to lose AT LEAST 1.5lbs per week, my total daily calorie intake should be 1200 calories. Calories so far today: 986; calories still needed to go: 214. I still have 214 to go with even cheating  twice and having two bite sized butterfingers. I know I know, cheating already? I'm only human people!!!

Dinner tonight was not some fabulous recipe I found on Pinterest or through googling. Tonight I ate one of my favorite SmartOnes dinners. What a wonderful meal. Hubby worked late tonight and my two babies needed my attention, so instead of wasting the night away in the kitchen, I decided to give my microwave a workout. Here is a fair warning if you are going to follow this blog: I will be eating a lot of these meals since they are easy lunch meals, have the calories right there on the box, and eliminate the guessing game altogether.

So if your following and starting your quest: SmartOnes (according to me) are a must and MyFitnessPal is a must have app!

Until tomorrow...

It's Time!

Well folks, it's time. It's time to get these pregnancy pounds off. I'm not talking about a recent pregnancy, I'm talking about almost 4 years in the making of pregnancy pounds. I was pregnant October 2008 and have had two babies since that time. My weight before my first pregnancy was 118lbs. Mind you, two weeks BEFORE I got pregnant I got married, so I know some of that low figure was stress from getting married. NOW I currently weight XXX (too much). Throughout this blog, I will not display how much I weight, just how much I have lost. My plan is to make this a live food journal, recipe reminder, and total tally of pounds lost. My hope is that since I am making this commitment to the blog world, I will keep up with the commitment to getting back to wear I started. So today is my final day of eating WHATEVER I want WHENEVER I want.

Foods today:

2 pancakes
1 piece of sausage

2 slices of pizza

General Tao's chicken

Throw in a piece of birthday cake, a few oreo's, and two diet sodas and this looks like the perfect diet, right? WRONG! I have to stop eating like this if I want to make a difference and that is going to be my pledge for however long it takes me to get to where I would like to be! So wish me luck, or don't, but this mission is for me, my husband, and my kids...

Until tomorrow...
